Burns' Night 2011

Following on from previous years the Manchester Branch have performed at 3 Burns Night celebrations early in 2011. The following are
a collection of photographs taken from just one of these events. The music was again provided by Summer Whiskey our resident
who perform at our weekly classes. As in previous years the dancers perform a selection of Scottish Country dances and then do
everal audience participation dances.

Burns' Night 2008

The Branch demonstration team has taken part in two Burns' night celebtrations. On Wednesday 16th January we visited Audenshaw
and on Saturday 26th January visited Radcliffe. Our demonstration dances included Round Reel of Eight, The Byron Strathspey and
Mairi's Wedding. Everyone present was very enthusiastic in taking part in the ceilidh during the evening plus singing a compilation
of favourite Scottish songs arranged by our musicians.



The excellent music was provided by our own band, Summer Whisky. These musicians play each week for our classes.
